1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you visit our website, submit an inquiry, subscribe to Studio Notes, or communicate with us.
This policy covers our own website and related communications. Information we process on behalf of clients while providing website or marketing services is governed by the applicable service agreements and clients’ privacy policies.

2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you submit a website inquiry, we collect the information you enter, including:
- Your name and email address.
- Your current website or portfolio address, if provided.
- Information about your artistic practice or business.
- Your website goals, service interests, and project timing.
- Details you provide about your work, upcoming opportunities, and website or marketing needs.
- Your permission to respond and any separate newsletter subscription choice.
When you sign up for Studio Notes, we collect your email address, optional first name, and subscription preference.
We also retain information you provide in subsequent correspondence.
Our general inquiry forms do not request payment-card details, passwords, government identification numbers, or medical information. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message.
Information collected automatically
Our website and its supporting services collect technical and usage information. Depending on the service involved, this may include:
- IP addresses and technical request information.
- Browser, device, operating-system, and language information.
- Pages visited, referring websites, and traffic sources.
- Visit times, session information, and website interactions.
- Approximate location.
- Cookie identifiers and similar online identifiers.
Hosting and security systems may process different information from Google Analytics. Online identifiers can distinguish browsers or devices even when we do not know a visitor’s name.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Respond to inquiries and discuss our services.
- Understand your needs and recommend appropriate website or marketing support.
- Prepare for potential projects and maintain related correspondence.
- Maintain Studio Notes subscription preferences and deliver subscribed communications.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve our website.
- Understand how visitors discover and use our website.
- Detect and prevent spam, abuse, and security incidents.
- Maintain appropriate business records.
- Comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Submitting an inquiry does not, by itself, subscribe you to Studio Notes. Newsletter subscription is a separate choice.
4. Contact forms and correspondence
We use Contact Form 7 to provide inquiry and subscription forms on our WordPress website.
Information submitted through our forms is processed through our website and email systems. Inquiry submissions are retained in our business email system and website form-submission database so we can respond, follow up, and maintain records of communications.
Our hosting, website-maintenance, and email-delivery providers may process this information as necessary to operate and support those systems.
We use inquiry information for the purposes described in this policy. Choosing to receive Studio Notes allows us to use your subscription information for that additional purpose.
5. Studio Notes and Brevo
Studio Notes provides occasional practical guidance about artist websites, collector presentation, and audience engagement.
We currently collect subscription requests through the website. Brevo is our planned provider for managing subscriptions and delivering newsletter emails. When we activate that service, we will transfer subscriber names, email addresses, and subscription preferences to Brevo for those purposes.
Brevo can process delivery information, subscription status, unsubscribes, and—where enabled—email opens and link clicks. If we enable engagement measurement, we will use it to understand newsletter performance and improve our communications.
You can withdraw your subscription request now by contacting support@artistsiteco.com. Once newsletter delivery begins, marketing emails will also include an unsubscribe link.
We may retain a limited suppression record after you unsubscribe so we can respect your choice. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary correspondence about an inquiry or active service relationship.
For information about Brevo’s processing, see Brevo’s Privacy Policy.
6. Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager to deploy and manage website measurement tags, including Google Analytics.
Tag Manager loads code that supports measurement of website activity. The information collected depends on the tags deployed and their configuration.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use our website and to improve its content and performance.
Google Analytics processes information such as pages viewed, website interactions, referring websites, browser and device information, approximate location, and cookie identifiers. Information is transmitted to Google to provide analytics services.
Our website also includes functionality to measure contact-form interactions. Measurement of a form event is separate from our receipt and handling of the inquiry itself.
For more information, visit How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy.
7. Cookies and tracking choices
Google Analytics currently sets the following first-party cookies on our website:
| Cookie | Purpose | Observed lifetime |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes browsers for analytics measurement. | Approximately 400 days |
_ga_CWXLT0CMR4 | Maintains analytics session information. | Approximately 400 days |
Cookie lifetimes may be shortened by your browser or refreshed through subsequent activity. Deleting a cookie does not automatically delete information previously collected.
Google Analytics currently loads when you visit the website; it does not wait for an acknowledgment or a form submission.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on in supported browsers. Blocking cookies alone may not prevent every analytics request.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
The website does not currently disable Google Analytics in response to legacy Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals.
These signals are distinct from browser settings that block cookies or tracking requests. If you have questions about your privacy choices or wish to submit a privacy request, contact us using the details in this policy.
Third-party processing
Google receives technical and usage information when its analytics service runs on our website. Its processing and any association with information from other services depend on the applicable product settings, agreements, and your Google account settings.
We do not describe analytics identifiers as anonymous merely because they do not contain your name or email address.
8. How we disclose information
We disclose information as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to:
- Hosting, infrastructure, website-maintenance, and security providers.
- Email-delivery and communications providers.
- Google for website analytics.
- Brevo when we activate newsletter delivery.
- Professional advisers when needed for business or legal purposes.
- Authorities or other parties when disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.
Information may also be disclosed or transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law.
9. Information retention
We determine retention based on the purpose of the information, our relationship with you, operational needs, and applicable legal obligations.
- Inquiries and correspondence: We retain these records while addressing your request and for follow-up, documenting services or commitments, and resolving disputes.
- Newsletter records: We retain subscription information while maintaining the requested subscription. Limited unsubscribe records may remain to prevent unwanted future messages.
- Website and security logs: Retention is based on troubleshooting, detecting abuse, investigating incidents, and maintaining system reliability.
- Analytics information: Retention is based on evaluating website usage and comparing performance over time, subject to the retention controls configured in our analytics services.
- Backup copies: Information may remain in backups until those copies expire or are overwritten through the applicable backup cycle.
We do not retain personal information longer than reasonably necessary for these purposes. Information no longer needed is deleted or de-identified, subject to legal obligations and backup cycles.
Aggregated analytics reports may remain available beyond the retention period for individual user- or event-level records. Analytics-cookie expiration is separate from analytics-data retention.
10. Privacy requests
You may contact support@artistsiteco.com to ask about personal information we hold about you or request access, correction, or deletion.
Depending on applicable law, you may have additional rights, including rights concerning portability, objection, restriction, or opting out of certain processing. We will evaluate requests under the law that applies to them.
We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or an authorized representative’s authority. Please do not send sensitive identification documents unless we specifically arrange an appropriate method.
Legal exceptions may permit or require us to retain certain information. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
11. Security and processing locations
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
We operate in the United States and use providers with international operations. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where those providers operate. Privacy laws may differ between locations.
12. Children’s privacy
Our website is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through our website, contact us so we can review and address the matter.
13. External websites
Our website may link to websites operated by other organizations. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review those policies before providing personal information.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
For material changes, we will provide a prominent website notice and any additional notice required by applicable law.
